While the pound for pound king, Manny Pacquiao was busy focusing his attention in training and preparing for his boxing match with Mexican boxer Juan Marquez, a news broke that there was an attempted robbery at the Pacquiao’s mansion in Hancock Park, Los Angeles.
The said incident happened last Friday night, September 18, 2011 wherein four men broke into the house and took a number of valuable items. Luckily, the four men, who were suspected of the Pacquiao mansion robbery incident, were immediately arrested and questioned before police authorities in L.A.
Alex Oreto, the caretaker of the Pacquiao mansion was not at home when the incident happened.
Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao’s wife, Jinkee said in a T.V. interview that they are already taking precautionary measures to avoid similar incident in the future.
The Pacquiao’s mansion in L.A. is a two-story house which has five bedrooms, all fully furnished. It also has a swimming pool. Jinkee was hands-on in decorating the interior of the house. From outside, the mansion looks like a modern Spanish-inspired home. The mansion is said to have an estimated value of $2 million dollars.
Accordingly, the house was bought after winning the fight against the Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto in November 2010.
